11x14" thin art board has pen and ink w/watercoloring original art by "Chicago Tribune" cartoonist Ed Holland titled "Bottom Of The Barrel" and depicts LBJ pulling Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. out of "Solutions To The Viet Nam Mess" barrel. Lodge carries "Lodge To Far East" handbag and LBJ wears his signature cowboy hat w/"Johnson" name. ©1965 Chicago Tribune. Exc. 14.25x18.5" sheet of illustration paper has pen and ink/charcoal cartoon by "San Francisco Chronicle" cartoonist Robert Bastian showing "LBJ" in camouflage helmet w/telescope and in "Viet Nam" rowboat with retired General and 1964-1965 U.S. Ambassador to South Vietnam Maxwell Taylor. Cartoon is titled "Faster? I Am Rowing Faster!" as Taylor rows boat. Both come w/matching mats w/cartoon title label at bottom and artist's name at top. Exc.
