Item Description
21.5x28" poster printed by Neal Walters Poster Corp. c. mid-1930s. Poster has nice stylized deco-like art of Tarzan swinging on vine w/elephant and chimpanzee graphics. Poster text includes "Seal Bros. 3 Ring Circus Presents Elmo Lincoln - The Original Tarzan." Lincoln was the first actor to portray Tarzan beginning in the 1918 silent film "Tarzan Of The Apes." He would go on to portray Tarzan 2 more times in "The Romance Of Tarzan" in 1918 and in the 1921 serial "The Adventures Of Tarzan." Lincoln also had cameo roles in 2 later 1940s Tarzan films. Folded as issued w/.5" chip along center left margin and .5" tear along center right. .25" tear at fold crease intersection. Fine overall. Scarce.
