Item Description
26.75x32.75" frame contains original 17.75x24" pen and ink art for Jan. 10, 1954 strip and has Walt Kelly copyright and notation of Post Hall Syndicate. 12-panel story has Albert Alligator and/or Howland Owl in every panel. Pogo and Churchy are seen fishing on boat in bkg. of a panel. Miz Beaver is seen in last panel. Strip mention the "Roosian Umpire" and Howland attempts a "Brain Washin'" on Albert, much to Miz Beaver's chagrin. Strip has original blue pencil sketches which have been finalized in black ink. Blue pencil notation along top center margin, lead pencil notations along bottom right margin. Light aging/handling. Displays Exc. as framed.
