Item Description
7/8" showing famous "Detroit Tigers" player. Small bit of tan staining across the bkg. above his hat and just a little tan tone on the final "B" of his name. Celluloid surface is pushed in the very slightest bit but just a little noticeable to the touch. Left side of his hat and shirt each have a 1" hairline cello crack and under magnification there are around a dozen tiny craze cracks barely breaking the surface. While the two cracks first mentioned will catch reflected light, all the other ones are essentially invisible without magnification. Button still retains the Sweet Caporal backpaper which has a very tiny hairline split at center. Bottom half of collet has some oxidation pitting but collet remains intact. On the positive side, the damage shows very little. Piece has perfect centering and high gloss. Scarce.
