Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
13/16" shows daisy flower with numeral "1" at center and with petals numbered 1 through 16 to represent Bryan's proposed silver to gold ratio. Celluloid is slightly pushed in but still totally smooth. Faint tan mark over the numerals 9/10 along the bottom edge and the W&H backpaper is missing a little of its surface but enough text remains to identify this as a W&H piece. The interesting part of this item is a small circular loop soldered as made to the reverse collet and this loop holds a ring which joins a second loop on a miniature silver bar with the incised text "Bryan Free Silver 1896." Only example we know of with this silver bar accent. Rare.
