11x14". Thin cardboard. Titled "Wharton Will Make Good!" Ran in Ohio as the "Socialist Candidate For Legislature, Canton, Ohio." Eighth Congressional District. Lengthy text includes his pledge "I Will, If Elected, Work Early And Late For The Repeal Of The New Tax Law Which Forces The One Who Owns A Little House Or Farm To Pay A Large Share Of The Taxes Now Paid By The Money Barons." Bottom text concludes "All For The People And Nothing For The Interests." Research found that the Countess of Warwick, a famous English Socialist, came to America to make 12 speeches in his behalf in Fall of 1908. Rounded corners, o/w extremely Fine.
