Item Description
Listed in Collins Threads of History (see item #2) as #649. Fabric is 22" tall by 13.5" wide. Couple minor tan marks at bottom bandanna tip. Extremely clean overall. Described in Collins as "Section Of A Repeat Pattern Bunting." Upper half has red and white eagle holding a black and white scroll with legend: "Let The Eagle Scream." Black and white oval portraits of candidates with names "For President - Grover Cleveland/For Vice President - A.G. Thurman." Crossed flags in national colors behind portraits: white stars against blue bkg. Lower half red and white bandanna printed over red and white stripes. The red bandanna represents the one carried by Allen Thurman, which he reportedly always carried in his pocket for blowing his nose or dipping snuff. Fabric is under shrink wrap over foam core. Each corner tip has .25x.75" paper protector centered by a single staple to keep the fabric taught. Displays beautifully as is or ready to custom frame. Great graphics in 1888 and now.
