Item Description
6.5" tall tin litho. One of the earliest Disney wind-ups c. 1929-30. Has Castle logo with letters "R.S." for Rogelio Sanchis of La Isla Toys, Spain. Minnie is depicted carrying a cage in each hand and each contains Felix the Cat. The rubber tail is a replacement, o/w toy is complete and all original. Comes with a key and works, Minnie walks forward when wound. Moderate scattered paint wear in the form of small nicks and scratches. One of Minnie's shoes has a .25" spot of bare metal but this is hidden by the cage. There are small traces of surface oxidation mostly where the 2 halves of Minnie join and mostly only visible when viewed closely. Right wrist has a .25" hairline split, again only noticeable when viewed closely. Overall appearance does remain glossy. VG. Extremely rare, one of only 4 known.
