Hardcover with large 9x12" format and 1.5" thick. Hundreds of full page cartoons collected and published by Tammany Boss c. 1901, with cartoons dating back to 1892. Fabulous cartoon coverage of New York City history and its famous "Boss." Hundreds of city and state politicians with several including Cleveland, TR and about 20 with Bryan. Condition is clean and VG but front cover nearly loose on inside gutter, one page torn out, 8 pages loose, about 10 pages with 1-2" tear near gutter bottom. Vast majority of pages remain Exc. Publications include many NYC plus major cities west to Chicago. Over 40 cartoonists represented including great names of the era such as Powers, Davenport, Swinnerton, Hamilton, Zim, Victor Gillam, Keppler, Dalrymple, Opper.
