Item Description
Approximately 41.5x80.75". As with all 3-sheets, poster was assembled from 2 parts, top portion measuring 41.5" wide, bottom portion measuring 40.75" wide. Though uneven at sides, all text matches up and does not affect overall display. Poster is for 1949 Realart re-release of the 1936 Universal horror film, considered to be the sequel to 1931's "Dracula." Although Bela Lugosi participated in publicity for film, he does not actually appear in it. Poster shows nice large image of Gloria Holden as Countess Zaleska and her servant Sandor as portrayed by Irving Pichel grappling with Dr. Garth as portrayed by Otto Kruger. Red bat flies overhead as bottom of poster consists of Dracula's corpse burning on funeral pyre. For this scene, Universal deemed appropriate using a wax bust of Lugosi. Smaller bottom portion of poster has a slight mis-alignment but this does not greatly detract from overall appearance of poster. Poster shows original fold lines which have some color touch-ups, but as linen mounted, these are not that detracting. Exc. appearance. 3-sheets for this film are rarely seen, let alone this nice.
