Item Description
Another classic Disney toy from Lionel, issued in 1936. Toy is 10.5" long with composition figures of Donald and Pluto. The toy is complete, working (including Donald's quacking voice) and all original. The toy comes with complete ten sections of track and wind-up key. Paint on the compo figures has a few tiny dots of wear but overall paint is outstanding and N. Mint. Each of Pluto's cardboard ears has a tiny hairline crease but hardly noticeable. Paint on the metal areas of the toy is super clean and glossy, near 100% complete and N. Mint. The box is 9x11.5x3.5" deep. All four side panels have illustrations of the toy and one still has "93¢" price tag from the 1930s toy store "Noah's Ark." Overall the box is Exc. and complete with its original insert. Included is rarely seen and N. Mint Lionel brochure 7x9" offering their 48-page catalogue and "Model Engineer" magazine. The brochure opens to a poster-like 14x18" showing the "Lionel Parade Of Streamliners" (7 trains) plus smaller images on the reverse of their #1107 Donald Duck Rail Car, #1100 Mickey Mouse Handcar, #1105 Santa Car (with Mickey in Santa's pack) and a remote controlled stunt airplane. An outstanding example of this historic Disney toy plus rarely-seen Lionel brochure.
