Item Description
In May 1939, the first issue of Wonder Comics included a Wonder Man story by Will Eisner. This proved to be the character's only appearance as a result of a lawsuit claiming the character was a copy of Superman. The comic book carries an ad for a ring and we believe this is the ring offered although we have never actually seen the comic book ad. In the third edition of the Overstreet ring guide, he shows a ring with the same band design as this one although the initial on the ring shown in his book is an "H" whereas on this ring the initial is undoubtedly a "B." Likely issued so person ordering could request their initial. Ring is brass with adjustable bands and black enamel paint accent on backgrounds. Our first example in brass (we had one in silvered metal) with about half dozen examples known in the ring collecting hobby. VF.
