Item Description
10-5/8x15-7/8" artboard has pen and ink original art by Curt Swan (1920-1996), w/inks by Bob Oksner (1916-2007). Art is from same issue as previous lot and art from story page 18 sees Superman defeat Solarman and contemplate if Superman or Clark Kent are more important than the other in six panels. Last panel foreshadows Agent Xviar's plans. Superman is pictured in all but last panel. Top margin has stamped title and inked issue/page numbers and publication month. Back has pencil and partially inked head sketch as well as DC copyright stamp. Swan has signed first panel in black felt tip pen. Last panel has text strip replacement to text block stat at right w/tape on back. Scattered handling wear/aging w/aged strips of tape staining at top/bottom center margin. Art remains clean and Exc.
