Item Description
6x9" stat paper sheets w/copy of art for X-Men #109 (Marvel, February 1978) featuring the New X-Men and the first appearance of Weapon Alpha by John Byrne that are hand-colored as color guides for the published issue. Complete 17 original story pages plus cover. Classic Bronze Age New X-Men storyline "Home Are The Heroes" by Chris Claremont with art by John Byrne and Terry Austin. Color artist was Andy Yanchus. Pages mounted to 8.5x11" copy paper w/"Marvel Masterworks X-Men" stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Story color guides are original to 1978 comic issue and were re-used to reprint as Marvel Masterworks #12 that reprinted issues #101-110. August 1990. Slight wrinkling from being colored, lt. aging/handling wear and some tiny edge tears but overall clean. Pages have cut in panels and corrections as part of the creative process.
