Item Description
12.75x20.25" paper sheet issued to celebrate the "Pennant Winners" of the National League. They would go on to defeat the American League champion, Detroit Tigers w/Ty Cobb in seven games to take one of the most exciting World Series championships ever played.  Published by Pittsburgh Press. Features 25 portrait photos by Carl Horner including Honus Wagner image that also appears on the coveted T206 card. Other HOF members shown are: Vic Willis, Fred Clarke and team owner/President Barney Dreyfuss. Dreyfuss is often credited with the creation of the modern baseball World Series. All portraits are numbered w/their names and title/position on bottom margin. Wagner has a prominent position at bottom center left while Dreyfuss is top center. All is set against an American flag design w/additional images of an eagle, baseballs and bats. Pittsburgh city seal bottom center. All over noticeable creasing. 2" margin tear at left center w/tape repair on back. Some other small scattered tears, also with tape repairs. Retains strong color and images are sharp. Would display very nicely framed. VG.
