Item Description
5x15". Double-sided. Front has beautiful jugate of the 1912 Progressive ticket inside patriotic eagle and shield design. Below the portraits are an MA ballot including the gubernatorial candidate, Charles Sumner Bird. Beneath the ballot is the platform of the Progressive Party that includes: revision of the tariff, abolition of child labor, labor reforms, and female equality. It also includes text that tries to link Abraham Lincoln and his Republican Party to the Progressive movement, stating "If Abraham Lincoln were alive today, he would be with the Progressive Party." Further comparisons to Lincoln are made on the reverse w/an 1860 Republican Massachusetts ballot. Two vertical folds and a tiny pin hole in the center.
