Item Description
23.5x33" poster for Dec. 13, 1970 concert that took place at the Circus Krone building in Munich, Germany featuring Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention. This is an original poster w/the date and venue printed at top left that was printed before the show to promote ticket sales/attendance. While the original Mothers of Invention were disbanded in late 1969 (despite being successful in Europe), Frank Zappa reformed the band the following year, often dropping "Of Invention" from the band's name. Poster design by Gunther Kieser features Zappa's face in double at top of poster, situated on the stomach of Michelangelo's David (w/the statue's member doubled as well). Poster has been rolled and top center margin has 3.5", 1" and 3/8" tears w/tape repairs on back. Scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Rarely found version of the poster, w/show information at upper left.
