Item Description
7x9.25" handbill (BG-246) for concerts that took place Aug. into Sept. 1970. Bottom of handbill has Fillmore West name despite concerts taking place at different areas venues. Aug. 13-16 concerts featured The Byrds, Poco and Commander Cody. Aug. 20-23 concerts featured Albert King, Cold Blood and Masan Profit. Aug. 24-26 concerts featured Iron Butterfly (w/Pinera and Rhino), Aum and Black Oak Arkansas. Aug. 30 concert featured Van Morrison and John Lee Hooker. Poster also notes Sept. 2 Led Zeppelin concert at the Oakland Coliseum. Handbill design by David Singer features lithograph image of woman lifting her hands above infant in praise to the Earth above. Singer has signed in black felt tip pen at lower right. Handbill shows scattered handling wear w/creases at top left. Fine/VF.
