Item Description
AFA graded and encapsulated 3.75" tall unpainted prototype of the infamous rocket-firing Boba Fett action figure from Kenner's popular 1979 Star Wars toyline. AFA-graded 85 NM+ (Archival case). Cased with AFA's updated laser cut casing style, displaying prototype figure and rocket separately; L-Slot rocket-firing mechanism is clearly visible from the back of case (spring clearly visible). Comes encapsulated with notarized Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) COA. Rocket-Firing Boba Fett prototype action figures have seen an upward trajectory in both demand and value in our recent auctions; our March 2022 auction saw a rare AFA 50 VG J-Slot prototype sell for $204,435 while three different AFA 85 NM+ examples of the L-Slot prototype have been sold at Hake's for $86,383 in March 2018, $112,926 in July 2019, $165,200 in June 2021. Most recently, an AFA 80+ NM example sold for a world record-breaking $236,000 in our June 2022 auction.
