Item Description
The Batman comic strip ran Sunday and daily from Nov. 6, 1989, to Aug. 3, 1991. Offered here is a 17x23" artboard w/pen and ink original art by Carmine Infantino (1925-2013), inked by John Nyberg. Art is for May 6, 1990 Sunday page and features 10 panels (w/first panel featuring title stat paste-over), showing Gotham City in grip of crime wave, w/members of Red Hood's gang about to commit arson before being stopped by Batman, who appears in last four panels. Second to last panel features great full body image of the Caped Crusader in awesome action pose. This panel also has creator names paste-over stat. Bottom margin has been signed in black ink by Infantino. Top left margin has inked publication information and left/right margins have taped printer registration marks. Artboard has some lt. aging/handling wear, but art remains clean and Exc.
