8.5x11.75" w/pages numbered 385-480. Front cover features art by Frank Paul, depicting a flying scientist from the magazine's lead story The Skylark Of Space by Edward Elmer Smith. First page of this story (page 390) has been signed by the author in black ink, inscribed to Eugene Seger and dated Oct. 1959. Issue contains 29-page story Armageddon - 2419 A.D. by Philip Francis Nowlan which is the very first Buck Rogers story ever published and also represents the origin of space/superhero characters. Story includes five illustrations by noted pulp artist Frank R. Paul. Issue also includes The Moth by H.G. Wells. Of note, this is a complete issue, w/all coupons present, even coupon on page 466 which is frequently seen clipped. Issue has some creasing along spine and wear at top/bottom of spine. Covers have some lt. corner foxing and dust soiling. Pages have evenly aged to cream in color and remain supple. Fine/VF overall. Historic Sci-Fi publication. Comes with Hake's COA.
