Item Description
10.5x16" thin art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan (1920-1996), best known as the artist most associated w/Superman titles during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 29 of "Superman" #281, published by N.P.P. in November 1974. Issue was written by Cary Bates w/interior art by Curt Swan and inks by Bob Oksner. Storyline "Mystery Mission To Metropolis". Six panel page shows Superman in four panels chasing Vartox (a crime fighter from another world in disguise) transporting an earth criminal to face justice on his planet. N.P.P.  copyright stamp on back. Scattered handling wear/aging. Aged tape at top and at bottom. Signed by Curt Swan. VF.
