10.75x16" thin art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan (1920-1996), best known as the artist most associated w/Superman titles during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 8 of "Superman" #273, published by N.P.P. in March 1974. Issue was written by Elliot Maggin w/interior art by Curt Swan and inks by Vince Colletta. Storyline "The Wizard With The Golden Eye". Five panel page shows Superman catching the Wizard and spinning him so hard that his thire (Golden) eye shoots into space in panel three. N.P.P. copyright stamp on back. Scattered handling wear/aging. Aged tape on left and right sides. One type cut-in. White-out at back of eye likely covering up optic nerve. A great page with Superman in all panels.
