Item Description
Approx. 35.25x45.5" linen has original art painting recreating the one-sheet movie poster for the 1932 horror film The Old Dark House, directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff, Ernest Thesiger and Gloria Stuart. Artist has kept original design (which is dominated by large portrait of Stuart at upper right), but switched color of poster bkg., which is dark pink in color instead of the original black. Art has been signed at bottom center and appears to read "Grosz." Linen has been rolled but art would frame for an Exc. display.
