Item Description
Pair of 11x17-1/8" artboards feature pen and ink original art from The Hulk! comic magazine #13, published by Marvel Feb. 1979. Art is by Ron Wilson, known for his work on comics starring The Thing, including Marvel Two-in-One and The Thing. Offered here are two pages from Doug Moench's Season Of Terror storyline, which were inked by Bob McLeod. Story deals w/Bruce Banner flying to Switzerland in search of a way to rid himself of The Hulk, only for terrorists to hijack the plane. The stress of the situation causes Bruce to change into The Hulk and the plane crashes. Art for page 10 has seven panels and shows the moment of the hijacking and Bruce's efforts to stay calm. Bruce is seen in all but one panel. Art for page 20 has five panels and shows aftermath of plane crash, w/terrorists regrouping and Bruce Banner coming to after changing back from The Hulk. Bruce appears in last two panels. Both have penciled title and issue/page numbers at top margin (though page 10 is marked as being from issue #14). Tops of both have been signed in black felt tip pen by McLeod. Back of each has Marvel copyright inkstamp. Staple hole at top left corner of first artboard. Art remains clean and Exc.
