Item Description
A mate to previous lot, and also the only example known to Hake's. This one is slightly smaller, 7/8". No back paper. This 1930 example marks the final season of the Birmingham Black Barons as a participant in the Negro National League as they would again join the Negro Southern League from 1931-36 before becoming long-time Negro American League members from 1937-50. Once again Satchel Paige was the unquestioned star of the 1930 Birmingham ball club, who finished in fifth place with a final record of 43-49.  Glossy, Exc. A Negro League rarity. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
