Item Description
10.5x15-7/8" artboard features pen and ink original art by Gil Kane (1926-2000), inked by Frank Giacoia (1924-1988) and Mike Esposito (1927-2010) for Marvel Team-Up #18, published by Marvel Feb. 1974. Art is for page 27 and features six panels, showing Human Torch rescuing Paxton Pentecost from burning factory, where Pentecost holds business partner Ferguson Blaine at gunpoint. Torch melts the gun in Pentecost's hand in last panel. Human Torch is seen in three panels. Top margin has stamped Marvel Team-Up title and inked issue/page numbers w/some penciling. Paste-over continuation strip at bottom right. Back has Marvel. copyright stamp. Pin holes at top/bottom center margins, lower left/right margins and at corners. Left/right and bottom margins have strip of tape staining at edges, not affecting art. Artboard has some corner tip wear w/denting to top left margin. Art remains clean and Exc. overall.
