Item Description
Original brown paper formed into sleeve contains pair of 16x21.25" Strathmore Craftint artboards feature pen and ink original art for complete two-page story originally published in DRAG Cartoons #6 in 1964 by Hi Mankin and Dennis Ellefson (who have signed at bottom of third panel on second artboard). Art is for Off The Deep End story about drag racers, several of which fail to deploy their chutes at the end of their run, w/our lead character going off to help, only to find them all enjoying beer in last panel. Art features copious amounts of text detailing, w/many mentions of famous film starlets of the day and smaller, secondary cartoons within the confines of the main cartoon. Bottom left of each artboard has inked page number. Margins have some scattered editorial/printer notations and artboards have pin holes at top center. Margins exhibit aging w/some corner tip wear.
