Item Description
18x21" heavy illustration board has attached 12.5x15-7/8" artboard w/mixed media original art by Disney Legend Walt Peregoy (1925-2015), an American artist who was a color stylist and bkg. artist for animated cartoons. Among the studios he worked for were Walt Disney Productions (1951-1964, 1974-1983), Format Films and Hanna-Barbera (1968-1971 and 1973). Concept art was used for Disney's 1967 animated features "The Jungle Book" and shows jungle river bkg. in Peregoy's bold colors and distinct style. Peregoy has signed art at lower left. Board art is mounted to shows corner tip wear and aging w/two .5" spots of moisture staining at lower right. Art could be easily matted for an Exc. display. Peregoy art from "The Jungle Book" does not often come to auction, making this a must for any collection.
