Item Description
8.5x11" mat has 4.5x6.25" sheet of art paper w/mixed media original art showing tiny figure of Clark Kent steering a boat past waterfall in immense cavern in his search for Lois Lane and Dr. Henderson. Art was created by Paramount/Fleischer artist W. Robert Little, who worked on "Popeye, Gulliver's Travels, Superman" and others. Art was used as storyboard for 1943 Superman cartoon "The Underground World" and matches to scene in cartoon. Pencil notations below art w/Little's signature at right. Art was once glued to backing board, resulting in some scattered glue staining, most of which blends w/dark colors of art. Still VF/Exc. overall. Dan Makara Collection.
