Item Description
14x16" w/"Designed By Orville Lange" hand painted at bottom right. Artist rendering of an 'Open Work Banner' featuring jugate design w/ large eagle at center. Banners above and below central design, "Regular Democratic Nominations" and one each w/candidates name, office and home state. Margin tears including a 1.5" vertical at top right, 3" half circle and 1.5" vertical bottom center all repaired on reverse w/archival tape. Handling, scattered age toning and edge wear including scattered tiny chips. Technically Good but displaying VG. We've encountered similar printed examples by the Political Banner & Equipment Co. of New York City but this is only time we can recall seeing this particular design in any format and only the third original art watercolor rendering, of any design, we've seen in our 53 years. A gorgeous display piece and truly unique.
