Item Description
11x17" stiff paper poster for Jan. 28, 1978 concert that took place at the 11th Street Theater in Chicago, IL featuring  avant-garde jazz group Art Ensemble of Chicago, which grew out of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) in the late 1960s. Poster advertises "Great Black Music" and features five photos of band members - Lester Bowie, Malachi Favors Magoustous, Roscoe Mitchell and Joseph Jarman (all original members) as well as drummer Famoudou Don Moye. Poster has pin/tack holes at corners and lower left has 3" corner crease. Some scattered lt. dust soiling at bottom left but Fine overall.
