Item Description
6.5x20-5/8" thin artboard has pen and ink original art by noted comic artist Al Williamson (1931-2010), who worked on "Secret Agent Corrigan" (formerly "Secret Agent X-9") w/writer Archie Goodwin from 1967 to 1980. Art dates to Feb. 25, 1977 and features three panels, showing titular character Phil Corrigan w/Karla Kopak in Professor Questor's laboratory, w/Corrigan announcing he will enter portal to ascertain what happened to the professor when he disappeared. Art features wonderful crosshatching and Williamson's trademark Sci-Fi machinery (which he had much experience depicting, given his work on EC Comics' "Weird Science" and "Weird Fantasy"). Williamson has signed and dated second panel. First panel has KFS copyright strip at right and there is vertical crease between first and second panels as mailed. Some lt. margin wear w/aged strip of tape staining at lower right, but art remains bright, clean and Exc.
