Item Description
13.5x20.75" artboard has pencil original art by Gil Kane that has been inked by Sid Greene. Art is for page 2 of "The Atom" Vol. 1 #26, published by DC Comics Aug. 1966. Page features six panels, showing man chasing his windswept hat into alley, where mechanical insect gasses him and picks his pocket. Art is from "The Eye-Popping Perils Of The Insect Bandit!" story by Gardner Fox, which saw the debut of DC villain the Bug-Eyed Bandit. Top margin has handwritten title and issue/page numbers. Left margin has color notations. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp and 1993 auction label. Artboard has horizontal crease across bottom margin w/some scattered dust soiling to margins. Artboard is Fine overall but art remains clean and displays Exc.
