Item Description
Large and impressive 42x82" poster features large full body image of Superman standing over image of Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey. Large text at top reads "Be My Guest At America's Greatest- Palisades Amusement Park N.J." and references popular 1968 comic book promotion w/"Look For Coupon In All May Thru October Issues," noting "Coupon Worth 85¢." ©1968 NPP, Inc. Text at bottom of poster noted "Free Admission - Parking - Circus Acts - 2 Rides." Several different posters were produced featuring DC Comics characters, including Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman (all of which are rarely seen). This huge poster was designed for outdoor display, which led to most examples being destroyed by the elements. The example offered here shows some scattered staining across top margin but is o/w very clean. Poster has been mounted to foamcore and comes w/frame w/Plexiglas and is ready for display. VF overall w/great eye appeal; the day-glo accents really make this poster "pop." Rare w/only a few known examples of this Superman poster, and this is the first we've ever offered.
