7.75x10.25" hardcover by Blue Ribbon Books, ©1934 WDE. 28-page story features color and bw illustrations by Walt Disney Studios staff. Book is complete w/dust jacket, runway, runway envelope w/printed instructions and original 4.25x10.5 illustrated paper band that went around book. DJ is unclipped and shows some wear along top/bottom margins, including 2.25x5.5" dark moisture stain to bottom of back and smaller stain at bottom of front. VG. Runway has archival tape reinforcement on back of one fold, but o/w ramp is clean and VF. Envelope shows lt. even aging and some lt. scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Paper band features same image of Mickey Mouse on each side w/sign reading "The Storybook With Characters That Come Out And Walk." This has noticeable aging and wear along top/bottom w/top having archival tape repair to interior. Bottom has corresponding moisture staining as seen on dustjacket. VG. This paper band is rare as it was almost always discarded. Book itself also has some moisture staining to covers (more moderate staining on back cover) but o/w remains very clean w/just slight wear/aging along top/bottom edges of cover. All Waddle pieces were once punched out and have since been put back in place to help preserve them. These show some scattered wear w/.25" crease to Pluto's neck and some minor creases to the tails of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Tanglefoot is complete, but his page is missing three tiny pieces that were meant to be discards. Of note, all Waddle pages remain bound in book, which is often not the case. Pages have some moisture staining along bottom margins. Book is VG/Fine overall. Book has all Waddles and is o/w complete w/six of eight metal connector pieces and their envelope. While there are some condition issues, this still represents a rare opportunity to obtain a near complete example of this classic Disney book.
