Item Description
13-7/8x18.25" artboard has pencil original art by Reed Crandall (1917-1982) that has been inked by Les Zakarin. Art is for page 2 of "Alliance Of Evil" story published in "Buccaneers" #27 by Quality Comics May 1950. Page features seven panels, showing Captain Rover's ship Daring attacking another pirate ship, whose crew surrenders. Upon laying down their weapons and boarding the Daring, it's revealed Captain Rover's old nemesis Captain Jigg was aboard. Last panel shows Jigg's ship being scuttled as Jigg warns of Captain Foxx. Lower right corner has some glue staining and margins have some scattered preliminary pencil art. Aside from glue staining, art remains clean and Exc.
