Item Description
Grimjack is the titular character of the "Grimjack" comic book originally published by First Comics beginning in 1983. John Ostrander and Timothy Truman created the character w/developmental help from Lenin Delsol. Offered here are two pages of original pen and ink art from "Grimjack" #15, published by First Comics in Oct. 1985. 11x17" First Comics artboards feature original art by Phil Foglio that has been inked by Duncan Eagleson. Art was part of "Munden's Bar" back-up story, featuring Gordon Munden discovering having left the bar for a few hours to run an errand, a band - Terra Incognita - has signed a one year contract to perform at Munden's. This is to Munden's obvious distress as his primary customer, the mercenary Grimjack, likes his quiet and solitude. Art is for pages 4 and 8 of back-up story; page 4 has eight panels showing Munden looking at high receipts from that night's show and debating keeping the act on only to decide against it. Page 8 has four panels, showing Terra Incognito performed to a silent crowd, which is due to Munden's painted sign promising swift death from his trusty machine gun. Third and fourth panel features Grimjack returning to the bar and being confused by the punishment Munden has forced on his lackey. Pages numbers at top right and along lower right margin. Page 4 has screentone accent and page 8 has strip of white tape at top margin. Margins have some lt. aging but art remains clean and Exc.
