Item Description
Pair of 1.25" dia. cello "Mickey Mouse Club" buttons from same theater - the Fox Park Plaza Theatre. 1930s. First button depicts Mickey in orange shorts and red rim inscription and "Copy. 1928-1930 By W.E. Disney" text below Mickey image. This is the earliest Mickey Mouse Club button in this 1.25" size, which followed the briefly used 7/8" dia. size (produced only in black and white, see item 1343). Complete w/Phila. Badge Co. backpaper. Small bit of air under the cello, mostly at Mickey's lower ear but no stain, full gloss and displays NM. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Disney Collectibles" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Other button is rare numbered contest style example. Tiny white mark at center of button, but still displays Exc. Interesting pair to display together.
