Item Description
Pair of stuffed velvet body dolls w/felt ears, faces and oilcloth pie-cut eyes. Unmarked, but most likely late 1930s by Dean's Rag Doll of England. Mickey Mouse stands 9.75" tall while Minnie Mouse stands 10" tall. Both dolls feature unusual open mouth design, interiors are felt. Mickey has all four small plastic pants buttons and Minnie has printed fabric skirt and bloomers. Satin bows around their necks appear to be replacements, but compliment each doll nicely. Both are missing rubber tails as is typical; Minnie has partial base of tail remnant. Both exhibit lt. even aging and Mickey has some scattered lt. wear to face and velvet on backside beside where tail was. Mickey is Fine overall. Minnie shows spot of wear corner of mouth and shows obvious wear to tips of feet. Restitching at shoulder and back of one leg. VG.
