Item Description
7.25x20.5" thin artboard w/India ink original art for May 1, 1970 daily strip by "Dick Tracy" creator Chester Gould. Art features four panels, showing Dick Tracy investigating vehicle crash w/the police, noting the car's speedometer was stopped at 132 mph. Dick Tracy appears in second panel and again on "2-Way Wrist Radio" in last panel, talking to Lizz Worthington, mentioning Tinky, daughter of Groovy Grove (who debuted in 1970). Gould has signed third panel and second panel has Chicago Tribune copyright strip. Inked date at upper left w/some penciling above it. Scattered pin holes to margins, which have some scattered inking/dust soiling. Fine overall.
