Item Description
8x11" setup has hand-inked and painted acetate animation production cels featuring 1.75x3-3/8" full body image of Thumper and 3.5x4.75" full body image of Bambi seated on frozen pond, his legs having slipped out from under him. Used in production of the 1942 Disney animated features "Bambi." Cel comes w/original Courvoisier-provided painted bkg. along w/partial label on back, which also has Walt Disney Productions copyright stamp. Both images have scattered hairlines and some lifting of paint (more moderate on Bambi), but images remain complete. Margins of cels have tape staining as originally issued as does bkg. backing board. Art bkg. has some staining from images. Fine overall, but would look nice framed.
