Item Description
22.75x31x7" deep large box contains nearly complete set No. 4654. c. 1962. One of Marx's most popular and elaborate playsets produced. Box tanned with lt, scattered wear/aging. Fine. Set is missing one piece of one vertical launcher and 2-pc. triple fuel tank. Astronaut w/camera and one on rock detached from bases but included. One extra blue and white rocket plus one extra flying saucer. Set is otherwise complete and shows little wear and decals are unused. Included are a pair of instruction sheets, paper flag and original bags w/lt. aging. The main piece of the set is a large vacuform moonscape w/tin inner structure. Other items include playmat, tin litho rocket silo, space station tower, prime mover, exploding mountain, moon ship, spring-loaded launchers, astronauts and six green alien figures, field accessories, space capsule and much more. The moonscape has a small crack on top and a few tiny edge cracks. Playmat is clean. Overall the set remains VF to Exc. A Marx classic.
