Item Description
"Starfire" was a short-lived Fantasy/Sci-Fi comics series published by DC Comics. The series only lasted seven issues. Offered here is 11.5x15.25" artboard featuring the original art for cover of issue #6, published by DC July 1977, w/pen and ink image depicting Starfire (not to be confused w/DC's Teen Titan of the same name) in swordfight w/three shadowy figures. Art by Mike Vosburg w/inks by Vince Colletta. Artboard has some scattered aging shadowing w/.5" square of tape staining below aged inscription to noted fanzine publisher and comic magazine editor/writer Biljo White, reading "To My Old Friend Biljo - I Hope You Can Understand What An Inspiration Your Work Was To Me - Best To You In The Future - Peace - Mike." Artboard is Fine overall but art remains clean and VF. Comes w/reading copy of the comic book this art was produced for.
