Item Description
Part of the Marvel Family Statuettes series by R.W. Kerr Company. 1946. Set consists of Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., Mary Marvel and Hoppy the Marvel Bunny. This and following three lots comprise the entire set. C.C. Beck-designed box features great art including Captain Marvel holding Mary Marvel statuette on one panel while other panel depicts all four statuettes in series. End flap has "Captain Marvel" stamped name. Box is complete w/lt. even aging and is o/w NM. Solid 6.5" tall painted plastic figure includes name on front of base and Fawcett Publications Inc. copyright on back. Statuette has Kerr decal under base but w/some flaking at right, about 85% remains. Figure is o/w complete w/no apparent defects and full paint. NM and as nice of an example as can be found.
