Item Description
11x17" artboard has pen and ink original art believed to be a pitch piece (c. 1982-1983) for a proposed mini-series that later saw publication as "Prince Namor The Sub-Mariner" that ran for four issues, published by Marvel in 1984. Cover quality art depicts the Sub-Mariner defiantly holding trident as drawn by Bob Budiansky and inked by Rudy Nebres. Both have boldly signed in black felt tip pen at lower left. Artboard has some faint moisture spotting at lower left, not affecting art. Artboard is evenly aged and art remains clean and Exc. Art comes w/custom acetate overlay w/James Pascoe-created Golden Age style "Marvel Mystery Comics" logo dressing stats, making for a great display.
