Item Description
12-7/8x19-5/8" King illustration board has pen and ink original art by Jack Kirby for page 27 of "Bullseye" #2, published by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby's Mainline Publications in Oct. 1954. Page features seven panels and was part of the "Grand Prize" story in which Bullseye takes part in shooting contests and misses a shot for the first (on purpose), allowing his opponent to win the "Grand Prize," the hand of a rival family's daughter in marriage. Last panel shows the family reacting violently. Fifth panel has been signed in black ink by Kirby. Top margin has handwritten title (twice) and issue/page numbers. Artboard has some margin aging and corner tip wear but art remains clean and Exc. Nice example of Jack Kirby art from this short-lived Golden Age Western comic book series.
