Item Description
Large 18x24" sheet of art paper has fully realized pencil sketch of a bare-breasted Andromeda chained to the rocks, tormented by Cetus, a sea monster sent by Poseidon as punishment for Andromeda's mother's boasts of her beauty. Perseus (who is not pictured) spots the imperiled beauty as he flies overhead and saves her, killing Cetus. This wonderfully detailed sketch has been signed by Hildebrandt at bottom right. Sheet has some lt. handling wear but art remains Exc.
