Item Description
14-7/8x20-1/8" heavy artboard has pen and ink original art for Dec. 30, 1979 "Pop Idols" Sunday page by Brendan Boyd and Stan Drake. Page is broken into two sections. Top is "Pop Idols And The Disco Scene" and features title stat paste-over w/text paste-overs and original illustrations of Peter Tosh as well as Toots Hibbert of Toots and The Maytals. Additional illustration of woman dancing alongside "Disco Tip: Stationary Body Language" dance tips. Bottom section is titled "A Reggae Primer" and gives brief biographies of Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley, both of whom are pictured in large original art image at right. Drake and Boyd have signed at bottom right. Artboard has some handling/edge wear and strip of aging surrounding art/stats and is Fine overall, but art remains clean and VF.
