Item Description
Box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 8.75" tall painted tin, tin litho and plastic robot made in Japan by SH Horikawa, 1960s. Box is complete w/all cardboard inserts and lid shows just lt. corner tip/edge wear. VF. Robot's body, arms, head and interior chest area are tin/tin litho. Legs, feet, eyes, ears, dome and clear chest cover are plastic. Battery box is clean. Working functions include walks, arms swing, loud noise, plastic gears revolve, lights in head blink. The toy's most interesting and unique working feature is "The Electronic Room" which refers to the metal gears operating the toy that are visible deep in chest area. Tiny crack at top center of plastic chest cover and some scattered paint nicks/scratches. Silver flashing to accent pieces on head and face show aging w/most silver luster gone. Still displays VF overall.
